Instructions to Install Sinhala Kit

How to work in Sinhala?

Before you work in Sinhala you need to install Sinhala enabling pack for Windows XP if you are a Windows XP user,

If you are using Windows Vista you don’t want to install enabling pack because it come default with Vista, and you can continue it from step 2.

Step 1:

These are steps to Install Sinhala enabling pack

Download Sinhala Enabling Pack from

http://spreadsinhala.srilankeeya.com/index.php/component/option,com_jdownloads/Itemid,2/cid,2/task,view.download/

Install it by running the setup file, and re boot your system

Step 2:

Download Chatura keyboard here

(If you have an AMD processor, please choose amd setup, if you have a 64bit Pentium processor please choose Pentium setup)

Step 3:

Please follow these steps to configure Chatura Keyboard

Go to your control Panel

Go to Regional and Language Options

Select Language Tab

Click on Details Button

Then click on Add button

Select Sinhala(SriLanka) as the Input Language

Sinhala -  Chatura Keyboard as Keyboard layout/IME

Click OK

You can see it now like here

Click on Apply and OK button

Navigate between Sinhala and English language by pressing Alt + Shift key
